Filtration can improve water quality by reducing particular contaminants or particles, but the correct filter depends entirely on what needs to be removed.
Possible filtration requirements
- Sediment
- Particulate matter
- Taste and odour compounds
- Iron and manganese in suitable applications
- Specific contaminants where an appropriately rated treatment method is available
We do not make blanket claims that one filter makes every water supply safe. For private water and unusual water-quality problems, testing and correct treatment selection are important.
