Water Softeners
Hard water contains calcium and magnesium minerals. A domestic ion-exchange water softener reduces these hardness minerals and can help reduce limescale formation in plumbing, taps and water-using appliances.
Choosing the right softener
The correct size and settings depend on factors such as water hardness, water use, household size and the model being considered. Brisamar can help specify a suitable system rather than simply selling a box.
What does a softener use?
Ion-exchange softeners use a resin bed and regenerate using salt. Salt and water consumption vary by model, settings, water hardness and usage.
Drinking-water supply
With conventional ion-exchange softeners, an unsoftened drinking-water supply should be retained for drinking and cooking. This is particularly important because softening can increase sodium levels. Installation must also comply with the applicable water-fittings requirements and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Installation or supply only
Brisamar offers local installation as well as selected products for customers who prefer to arrange their own installation. Always follow the individual manufacturers requirements and applicable plumbing and electrical requirements.
Our warranty approach
